Our "Stop Hunger Now" gathering on Saturday, Apr. 23, at the Orinda Community Center was a huge success! 90 volunteers assembled packets of soy, rice, vegetables and vitamins to provide over 17,000 meals to hungry people across the globe.  Kids and seniors alike shared fun and fellowship stuffing food packages as music played and a huge gong marked each 1,000 meals boxed.  Thanks to all who turned out to assist in this important humanitarian effort -- including our Rotarians, volunteers from Orinda Action Day, scouts and Miramonte students!  A special shout-out to Dan Gannett for organizing the effort!
